Wings sit atop ESPN Power rankings

From ESPN:

The Detroit Red Wings move back into the top spot after going 7-2-1 in their last 11 games, the Kings and Flyers are winning big games despite injury issues and the Thrashers are on a roll. Atlanta is knocking on the playoff door in the Eastern Conference and jump to No. 16.

    It’s good to see a winning team besides the Pistons. Quietly, the Wings have been getting the job done. Detroiters need all the winning they can get to recover from another disappointing Lions season.

    You got that right. Lions are a disaster and the Tigers will be lucky to go .500 this year. Without the Pistons and Wings we’d have some long, hard winters, eh?
