Lewis a victim?

December 31, 2005

According to the Detroit News’ Jerry Green, he sure is.

Disloyalty – Dave Lewis, idle through an entire year by the NHL’s foolhardy season-long work stoppage and kept hanging, fired without any chance to redeem himself when hockey games resumed.

Iwo:  I don’t know Jerry.  Loyalty, I suppose, is contingent on success–especially where big business and money are concerned.  We all know Dave Lewis’ supposed faults and won’t re-hash them now, but he knew the standard.

I’m curious if Lewis felt the Wings were disloyal, considering he took a job as a senior scout after his firing.

More from Green…
